KINDERGARTEN!!!!

Well first there was the first day of preschool 3's....

Then there was the first day of preschool Pre-K 4's...

And last week it was the first day of kindergarten...

Kindergarten.  That word seems so big kid.  I remember thinking when that word was so far away, when she was a little baby.  And now it has come so quickly!!

So Monday was the first day of school.  Ella was VERY excited!!  She had her clothes all hung up in her closet the night before, back pack was packed by the front door, batteries were being charged for the camera, and I had made her a lunch the night before along with a little note inside.  =)     That morning I think Eric and I had as many butterflies in us as she did!!  I made her our traditional "first day of school breakfast" of ABC pancakes (with mini chocolate chips!).

When it was time to go, we became the kindergarten paparazzi and snapped lots of shots of her big day! It was so nice because Eric took the day off to be a part of it all.  =)

When did my baby grow up????

We walked her in her classroom where she knew right where to put her lunch and bag, and then she found her table and right away got to work on the little worksheet her teacher had out for all the kids.

Ella was so excited to be in school!! She didn't even cry and gave us big hugs and kisses with a HUGE smile saying "Bye!".  Me....well I of course cried after we walked out of her classroom.   =(

She had a GREAT first day and was all smiles walking out with her class after school.

In the car she told Eric, Abby and I all about how great kindergarten was and kept saying "I LOVE it!!!  Kindergarten is COOOOL!".    =)

She has had a great first week and seems to be really liking it.  Her teacher is wonderful and already she has made lots of new friends.  It is fun to hear all about her day when Abby and I pick her up.  However it is strange that this is now *her* world and we are not a part of it.  But she is loving it and we couldn't be more pleased!
