Fun in the sun!

So, it has been hot here.  Not hot where you think, "wow, this is a warm spring day".  Nope.  More like, "Holy moly! It is hot and only April! Did we miss spring somehow???".  HA!!!  But seriously....the last couple days were unusually warm and got up to 100.  (Yikes!) Therefore we needed to cool off, and fast!

The last 2 summers we had a blow up pool in the backyard that had a lot of love, and sadly did not make it after this last summer.  So Thursday we headed out and got a new one for the start of many "pool days".  

After MANY breaths.....I was finally able to blow it up.  I was very glad when the girls were happy to play in it in the family room for a bit while I caught my breath.  =)

Then, it was time to officially start our "pool season"!

The pool we got the girls were VERY excited about, and here is why:  First, they got a kick out of the fact that it was a hippo.  They named it and everything.   =)  Second, they really liked that on the box, it showed a picture of a sprayer that you can do.  You run the hose through it and it is like a little sprinkler that shoots out as well.

After we turned the sprinkler part off, they were more than happy to get in and had a WONDERFUL afternoon!
